HOCAP runs a yearly Christmas Party for the entire community, food, drinks, water, clothes among other things are shared for the community members. Neighboring communities also join in the celebrations. The most important aspect is that the word of God is preached to the community. Each child received a love box that contained different types of gifts which were essential needs of the children. The smiles on the faces of these children is amazing as some of them opened a gift for the first time. HOCAP gave some of the harvested maize from the HOCAP demonstration farm to three orphanages after harvesting. HOCAP paid the electricity bills for the entire year for the Rema home as donated by a donor in the USA
Easter Activities At Gonten Community 2010
Giving to the needy in our society is one of our core task as Christians. In our project area community members received cloths, shoes, learning materials etc.
During Christian festivities we make sure that we share the love of Christ with children and the entire community by sharing food , medical supplies and telling the community about the love of Christ. Christian movies were shown to children during medical outreach programs.

Christmas Celebrations At Gonten
Once again, HOCAP in partnership with OTM foundation hosted the people of Gonten to a special Christmas treat on the 26th of December 2014. Both parents and children had a fair share in everything to the Glory of God.
Okushibri was not left, they received drinks, biscuits, exercise books and clothing which was by the kind courtesy of the Tema North District of the Presbyterian church of Ghana

HOCAP partners OTM to organized the party for the okushibri community. The children enjoyed the meal given to them. The adults and the children had some fun games
Gonten community and Kpoi-ete community joined Okushibri community to have a Christmas Party for the children. This was done in partnership with Capstone an NGO.
Westminster Presbyterian Church Albany contributed by sending donations to the communities and also sponsoring some of the Christmas programs. WPC donated computers, solar light and books Okushibri community.

Nyitawuta Community Visit
The Nyitawuta community again had a visit from HOCAP with the Rev. Laud Hammond and the Member of Parliament for the Nyitawuta area. This was to further ascertain the state of the community and seek more help for the community

As usual our end of year Christmas party was real fun, Santa gave gifts not only to the children but to senior citizens as well. We also donated clothes and other house hold items. The people of Nyitawuta are lovely people and we are determine to seeking funding to help the community.
The youth of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Redemption Congregation donates to Nyitawuta community
The Young Peoples Guild of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Redemption Tema collaborated with HOCAP during the Christmas festivity to demonstrate the love of Christ to the community members, they preached the word of God, acted a drama and donated sewing machines to the teenage mothers who were undergoing vocational training.
Easter Party For Nyitawuta And Neighboring Community Children

The community was entreated with an Easter party. The HOCAP team in Accra did not go to the community to celebrate with them, however the HOCAP representative based in Nyitawuta took care of all the activities and it was great joy to the children and entire community.
HOCAP PARTNERS SHGO AND WPC TO RESPOND TO COVID NEEDS - BREAKFAST SERVED TO ORPHANAGES AND THE HOMELESS DURING THE LOCK DOWN
The year under review had COVID hitting the world and HOCAP immediately identified a major need during the lock down period in Ghana. HOCAP received funding from SHGO and WPC to support orphanages and the homeless. HOCAP served hot breakfast each day during the lock down period.
HOCAP after the lock down when it was done with the feeding program donated gari, maize and drinks to three orphanages HOCAP for the first time HOCAP gave out love boxes to over 250 children within communities, orphanages and street children. The boxes contained: food, drinks, pens, pencils, eraser, books, cups, cutlery, socks among others.
DONATIONS TO ORPHANAGES AND COMMUNITIES
During the Christmas festivities, HOCAP gave Christmas love boxes to 150 children in 3 orphanages. Each Christmas love box contained food, drink, crockery, cutlery, stationary, towel and sponge. All children in the Nyitawuta community and its environs received 250 love boxes. In total, 400 children were reached with the love boxes. The joy on the faces of these children and the entire community was overwhelming.

The Remar children’s home, an orphange in tema was not left out as HOCAP served them hot breakfast during the COVID lockdown period in Ghana.

Nyitawuta Community Donation
There was a donation of clothes, books, furniture among others things to community members. HOCAP during the COVID period moved from its office in community eight and in 2021 handed most of the furniture in the HOCAP office to the Nyitawuta community.

Belinda, Maxine and Robert Visit the Nyitawuta Community 2023 from WPC, Albany USA.
A family from the Westminster Presbyterian church in Albany visited the Nyitawuta community to see how the clinic project was fairing . They were very impressed to see work done and inspected other projects undertaken by HOCAP in the community They also interacted with the community members, the chief and elders who showed much appreciation for the work the Church had done in the community.
THE DSS DIRECTOR OF PCG AND THE CHAIRPERSON INSPECTS THE MAMA ALICE CLINIC
The PCG director of department of social services and her team visited the Nyitawuta community to inspect the clinic project . The team interacted with the community and assured them they will work together with HOCAP to see to it that the operations of the clinic begins once all documentations have been completed. Among the team who visited was the Chairperson of the Dangbe tong Presbytery and the DSS director of the Presbytery. They were happy and looked forward to starting a church in the community
Emergency Response- To The safe havens at Tokpo
The Akosombo Dam spillage in october 2023 affected major parts of the Volta region of which Laweya community and others were moved to Tokpo as their safe havens.
HOCAP and its partners visited the safe havens and celebrated Christmas with them. Along side the party was a team from the USA who gave a medical talk to the elderly, a dental check for the children and many more health activities carried out.
The team also gave out medical supplies.
